Summary:

The Process Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that Cleveland Menu’s processes and products meet quality standards and customer expectations.  Included are the ongoing assessment and improvement of existing processes as well as the introduction of new processes, from order management through shipping.

Job Description: 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Process Quality: ensuring there is a documented process governing efficient order flow for Print and Bindery orders.
  • Quality assurance: developing and implementing quality procedures, standards, and specifications.
  • Quality control: creating and executing a quality control program, inspecting products at various stages, and documenting quality defects.
  • Quality Incident (QI) management: leading root cause investigations for quality escapements and internal issues using disciplined problem-solving processes.
  • Continuous Improvement: revising processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Collaboration: partnering with managers and operators, and providing training, tools, and techniques to help the team achieve quality standards.
  • Reporting: Gathering relevant data, producing reports, and identifying opportunities for improvement.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Prompt investigation of major quality incidents.
  • Analyze value stream and collaborate with production team to drive efficiency improvements aimed at reducing downtime and improving quality.
  • Manage the prototype process.
  • Champion lean principles such as 5S and visual factory management.

Qualifications & Education Requirements

  • College degree or relevant experience.
  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing environment with formal quality system.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience required; formal certification preferred (ex: Green Belt).
